Since the Reform and Opening-up,China's economy has been developing continuously,and its international influence has been increasing continuously.As a result,people's living standard has been improving.More and more Chinese people choose to travel abroad,and international tourists also prefer to visit the Chinese scenes.Therefore,the development of tourism industry becomes increasingly powerful.China has brilliant culture with a 5000-year history,in order to make a better understanding of Chinese culture for foreign tourists,it has great significance to translate tourist attractions texts in English.It is necessary for translators to conduct in-depth analysis of cultural differences domestic and abroad,find the most suitable translation strategies in English translation of tourist attractions texts,and show the most beautiful landscapes to international tourists.However,for various reasons,the English translation of tourist attractions texts still needs to be improved,and this condition highlights the necessity of this study.Firstly,this thesis introduces the functional equivalence theory's basic conception,development process,significance and present study in China.Secondly,it introduces the tourist attractions texts' basic conception,features and functions in English translation,and development trend in the future.Thirdly,it introduces application the functional equivalence theory into English translation of landscapes tourist attractions texts,and analyzes the significance.And it applies translation strategies into translation of landscapes tourist attractions texts,meanwhile,gives a lot of examples to analyze,and in the end,summaries of the problems and influence factors in English translation of landscapes tourist attractions texts are also covered in this part.At last,it makes a conclusion of whole thesis,analyzes the questions,limitations and study direction in the future.In brief,this thesis aims to improve the quality of English translation of tourist attractions texts,and make a better introduction of Chinese culture and history to foreign tourists,thus promoting the development of our country and communication between countries.
