| According to the textual characteristics of technical news,this paper attempts to translate excerpts from “Airport Technology.Com” and explore how to translate technical news into simple and idiomatic Chinese.The paper mainly analyzes the strategies for translating news title and main body of the news.When analyzing how to translate the news title,this paper uses techniques including transformation of word formation,splitting and integrating of sentences based on semantic information and amplification in translation.When talking about the strategies for transforming the sentence patterns in the main body,this paper uses strategies including the conversion between treelike and linear structures,shift to linguistic unit at a different level,the conversion of sentence components and adjustment of sentence division.This paper is intended to provide valuable suggestions for translating texts of this kind. |
