| This article attempts to highlight the conversion of parts of speech in English-Chinese translation practice by analyzing the literary form and linguistic features of the source text.Based on the translation of What a Wonderful World: One Man's Attempt to Explain the Big Stuff(Chapters 11 & 17),the study focuses on the word conversion as applied in English-Chinese translation.The article aims to sum up the conversion technique by analyzing these specific examples with a view to shedding a light on the effectiveness of conversion of parts of speech in the translation practice. |
