The Deviation,Restoration And Retention In English-Chinese Translation Of Clothed Female Figure

This thesis takes Clothed Female Figure by American novelist Kirstin Allio as the research material.Combining the nature and causes of deviation,the translation practice of this thesis mainly explores three ways to translate,including deviation,restoration and retention.Deviation is based on the source text,which involves four methods,namely semantic activation,semantic overflow,lexical deviation and positional deviation;Restoration is to present the deep meaning of borrowing,metaphor and transference in the source text;while retention is to keep those surfacely illogical collocations,which also includes the above three rhetorical devices.
