As China and Thailand increase their communication of economic and cultural,there are more and more Thai students learning mandarin.Phonetics is the most important part in learning foreign language.Thai students in the study of Chinese pronunciation are generally used to replace Chinese pinyin with Chinese phonetic symbols,words and sentences.This paper mainly introduces the methods of Thai students’ use of Thai phonetic phonetics,analyzes the causes and advantages and disadvantages of them,and puts forward corresponding teaching Suggestions.This paper is divided into 5 chapters,respectively from the following aspects.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the research status of phonetic teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the research significance of Thai phonetic phenomena.The second chapter introduces the basic situation of Patongvittayamulnithi School and the present situation of Chinese phonetic teaching,and introduces the phenomenon of Thai phonetic transcription in detail,including the definition,methods and characteristics of Thai phonetic transcription.The third chapter analyzes the reasons and effects of students’ learning Chinese with Thai phonetic symbols.Chapter four summarizes the positive and negative effects of Thai phonetic transcription.Chapter five summarizes the teaching inspiration and strategies from the study of Thai phonetic annotation.Thai phonetic annotation has advantages and disadvantages.Teachers should take a dialectical view of the phenomenon of Thai phonetic annotation and make full use of its strengths and avoid its weaknesses.Some similar Chinese and Thai pronunciations can take the advantages of Thai phonetic annotation in teaching,but at the same time,the frequency of Thai phonetic annotation should be limited.At the same time,the phonetic errors caused by Thai phonetic annotation should be corrected in time,and the dependence on Thai phonetic annotation should be reduced.
