With the rapid development of economy and culture,tourism has become one of the best ways for people to relax and enjoy,and it has become an important industry that flourishes the economy.As an important bridge to promote tourism culture,the tourism translation is directly related to the foreign tourists' understanding of Chinese culture.The translator excerpts the first chapter of Wujiang River Basin: An Oriental Wonderland and completes the translation practice and report under the guidance of Hans Vermeer's Skopos Theory.With flowery words and beautiful language,the source text,a typical tourism text,involves the detailed introduction to the natural resources and famous attractions in Wujiang River Basin,spreading the tourism culture of China to a certain extent.Through a large number of case studies,this report analyzes the lexical,syntactic and discourse features of the source text,as well as the difficulties encountered in the process of translation.And through the guidance of Skopos theory,it provides a readable and acceptable translation for the target language readers,which helps foreign tourists to have a deeper understanding of the natural beauty and tourism culture of Wujiang River Basin and attract them to travel.In order to better spread the tourism culture in Wujiang River Basin,the translator takes fully into account the expression habits and aesthetic preferences of the target readers and combines flexible translation methods,such as literal translation,free translation,omission,amplification and so on,conveying the inner part of the source text in a way consistent with the target language.
