A Study On The Aesthetic Taste Of Lu You’s Catering Poems "Taking Custom As Elegance"

"Elegance" and "vulgarity" are opposite aesthetic categories.They are interlinked and transformed,and eventually evolve into the aesthetic theme of "taking vulgarity as elegance".If Su Shi and Huang Tingjian in the Northern Song Dynasty were the practitioners of "taking vulgarity as elegance" in literary creation,Lu You in the Southern Song Dynasty was the master of "taking vulgarity as elegance",especially his dietary poems later came to the fore and became the typical representative of Lu You’s "taking vulgarity as elegance" poetics.Lu You used the aesthetic perspective to look at the daily dietary life,changing vulgarity into elegance and taking vulgarity as beauty,creating a new aesthetic interest and opening up a new writing situation of dietary poetry.Lu You not only "likes to eat" and "can eat",but also "appreciates" and "plays".He refines the dietary activities in daily life and makes them enter the elegant literary palace of poetry.According to incomplete statistics,Lu You wrote more than 3000 dietary poems in his life,accounting for nearly one third of the total number of his poems.From this point of view,Lu You,after his pastoral poems,created a new style of dietary life poems and was a veritable "life taster".It can be said that Lu You’s aesthetic view of "turning vulgarity into elegance" not only deepens his artistic conception of dietary poetry,but also reflects the aestheticization of his daily life and life aesthetics,which injects new vitality into the connotation of Chinese traditional classical aesthetics.Based on Kong Xiangxian’s Selected Notes on Lu You’s Dietary Poems,and then extended to Qian Zhonglian’s Annotation of Jiannan Poems,this paper comprehensively analyzed the elegance and vulgarity embodied in Lu You’s dietary poems in different categories on the basis of sorting out and reading all of Lu You’s dietary poems,and finally made a profound analysis of Lu You’s aesthetic view of elegance and vulgarity from the perspective of aesthetic transcendence.The article holds that Lu You’s dietary poems,on the one hand,achieve the perfect integration of natural beauty,social beauty and artistic beauty,on the other hand,make daily dietary life poetic,aesthetic and interesting,and finally reach the height of philosophization,creating the ideal personality realm.In a word,the aesthetic study of Lu You’s dietary poems is not only helpful to the construction of Chinese classical aesthetic system,but also beneficial to the aestheticization of contemporary daily life.
