Music Education In Changsha County Normal School During The Republic Of China Period

Changsha County Normal School(now Changsha Teachers College,hereinafter referred to as Changsha Normal School)is the first regular secondary normal school in Hunan Province.It has experienced a storm as a century-old school.The music education of Changsha Normal School played an important role in the development of Hunan music culture during the Republic of China,but it was rarely noticed.In view of this,this paper studies the music education of Changsha Normal School in the background of Hunan Normal Education during the Republic of China,and considers its significance for the music education of the teacher at that time and even now.Through reviewing the archives of Changsha teachers,school history,school journals during the Republic of China,interviews and reference to the current research on Changsha teachers and school history,the curriculum and content of Changsha teacher music education,teaching materials,extracurricular music activities,teachers and students,etc.Investigate the aspects,summarize the characteristics of music education and the value it plays,and provide a new literature and research results for the history of music education in Hunan Normal University.This article is divided into four parts.The introduction part summarizes the original literature and its existing research results,and explores the significance,content and methods of the research.The main part has three chapters.The first chapter focuses on the development of Hunan teacher education,and gives a brief overview of Changsha Normal School's school history.The second chapter focuses on the general education of Changsha Normals,from the perspective of the aesthetics of Xu Teli,the setting and content of music courses,extracurricular music activities,and teachers and students.The third chapter analyzes the contribution of Changsha teacher's music education from two aspects of education and times,summarizes the full text,and affirms that the music education of Changsha Normal School promotes the development of Hunan Normal Music Education.
