Chinese folk art is rich and colorful,extensive and profound,and it is an artistic carrier that can highlight the national culture.The Miao nationality in western Hunan is a part of folk art and has unique folk art style and cultural heritage.Picking flower craft is called "counting yarn" in Luxi area of western Hunan.counting yarn as a craft method is a very important process in picking flower craft.Miao people in western Hunan were listed as national intangible cultural heritage list in 2011.its composition is vigorous and full,rigorous and symmetrical,its shape is abstract and gives changes,simple and simple color contrast,mysterious and ancient geometric figure has strong local flavor and strong national color,and has extremely high artistic value and economic value.It can be said that it laid the foundation for the development and maturity of the production techniques of Xiangxi Miao brocade,Miao Xiu and Huadai.With the development of the times,the Miao people have embarked on a road of well-being.This is the beginning of happiness,but it is also the beginning of the gradual disappearance of traditional handicrafts.Previously,it was said that "the Miao daughter can't count the yarn,she can't find her husband's family".But now there are not a few Miao girls who can't count the yarn,andit is rare that they can count the yarn.Under the influence of the external environment and foreign culture,this ancient handicraft has gradually been diluted by the Miao people.Under the rapid economic development,the art of picking flowers has also entered the chain of modern market economy,and people have to make adaptive choices.This article traces back the historical causes of the formation and development of flower-picking among the Miao people in western Hunan from the natural and cultural environment in which the flower-picking originated.Starting from the representation of flower picking,the paper sums up the types,forms and subject matter connotation of flower picking.From the angle of forming patterns,this paper analyzes the graphic symbols and aesthetic implication of the Miao nationality's flower picking in western Hunan.From the perspective of the development of modern national folk art,this paper analyzes the combination of folk art and modern art,and analyzes the subtle connection between the selection of flowers and the creation of modern art by the Miao people in western Hunan.The reason why this paper studies the schematic language and application of flower picking of the Miao nationality in western Hunan is firstly because the flower picking art of the Miao nationality in western Hunan is a part of Chinese folk art and is also the author's hometownart,and the research on it is to improve people's awareness of protecting folk arts and crafts.The second is that it is a major trend of Chinese art development to take the national road in today's art.Folk art elements have continuously entered the eyes of artists and become the focus of art.Therefore,the study of the schematic language and application of the Miao flower-picking art in western Hunan also hopes that folk art will produce unique artistic language with national characteristics in the collision with modern art.
