Research On Fan Chengda's Political Thesis

Fan Chengda is a famous politician,litterateur and poet in Southern Song Dynasty,and his works have been handed down until now,which have great effect on literature.However,in research about the literary achievements of Fan Chengda,many predecessors put the researching emphasis on his poetry,while concerning little about his proses,especially political proses,so the research is incomprehensive.Political proses of Fan Chengda are inheritance and development of political proses in Northern Song Dynasty,and are creative.This paper takes political proses of Fan Chengda as the research object,text analysis as the emphasis to reorganize and interprete ideological content and artistic features to recognize creative achievement and social effects of political proses of Fan Chengda.Political proses of Fan Chengda are products in the special historical environment of Southern Song Dynasty,and the political prizes that he created have rich content and patriotic feeling.His political proses involve different aspects including economy,frontier defense,talent,and national etiquette,etc.In national governance,he advocated “human first” vigorously,and expostulated the emperor to administrate diligently and love people,pay attention to etiquette and be cautious in punishment;In national finance,Fan Chengda tried to remit “money shortage” and the weakness of horse administration in Southern Song Dynasty,and took releasing people's burden as the core of his economic value;In national defense and military,Fan Chengda paid attention to frontier construction,including facilities of frontier defense,and stationary of military,etc.,and reorganized military rules to regulate the process of appointing comrades so as to improve the combating capacity of military of Southern Song Dynasty.While his deed of advocating militiaman is helpful to remit pressure of manpower resources in Southern Song;In local administration,he tried to practice“promoting the beneficial and abolishing the harmful” to maintain local security through strengthening training of archers,while the talent value of “not limiting to one type and recommending talents” transmitted many talents for Southern SongDynasty.Political proses of Fan Chengda followed the time closely,pointed out problems,which makes him have strong realistic and epochal characteristics.They reflected problems that existed in economy,politics and society in Southern Song Dynasty,and let people have the feeling of “sincerity and that the prose is moving”;The composition and layout with compact structure and clear orderliness make his method of discussing “politics” precise and unique;The languages of political prose of Fan Chengda is smooth and beautiful,he was good at making allusion,which present clean and elegant style.While political proses of Fan Chengda stick to the writing tradition of predecessors of “prose is written for the time”,it makes his political proses have unique historical value and literary value,and have enlightenment to modern political culture.
