As an important individual difference in the second language acquisition,anxiety has ever been studied by a lot of domestic and foreign scholars,and the study on the anxiety about the four basic skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing in the second language learning has also gradually appeared,but currently,the study on the anxiety about basic skills mostly focuses on speaking,and rarely on listening.Meanwhile,the study mainly concentrates on the foreign students studying in China,and seldom on the listening anxiety of students from non-target language countries.Combining with the actual situation of students,the questionnaire survey,interview,classroom observation and other research methods are adopted in this thesis to conduct investigation on the anxiety of 118 students majoring in Chinese language in Tajikistan Slavonic University about listening learning in the non-target language environment to understand the students' Chinese study and Chinese listening learning situation by means of anxiety-related theories in the second language learning.In terms of data analysis,SPSS 25.0 software is used to analyze the collected data,and the standard deviation and mean of various data are calculated.Meanwhile,analysis is conducted from various aspects of individual differences.Via research,it is found that students from Slavonic University have a certain sense of anxiety about Chinese listening.Based on the results of scale,interview and classroom observation,the thesis summarizes three causes of students' listening anxiety,namely,language knowledge,psychological factors and listening strategies.Through the analysis of students' listening anxiety strategy scale and the results of personal interviews,it is found that although students' listening skills are different,they can still take a more active way to alleviate their anxiety and improve their listening competence.Meanwhile,it is found that there is a certain relationship between individual differences and listening anxiety.In terms of gender,male students have higher listening anxiety than female students,and students younger than20 years old have higher listening anxiety than students older than 20 years old.Thereis a significant difference between subjective Chinese listening competence and anxiety,and the students with a higher subjective listening competence have lower listening anxiety.However,there is no significant difference about learners in the length of Chinese learning.Finally,based on the research results and the author's internship experience in Slavonic University,this thesis proposes some relevant strategies to alleviate students' listening anxiety.
