As one of the representative writers of contemporary Chinese children’s literature,Cao Wenxuan is both a novelist and a literary critics.His children’s literature with the pastoral and local characteristics,represented by “Grass House” and “Bronze Sunflower”,is active in the contemporary children’s literary world.The academic circles also focus their research on his works.As fantasy literature was introduced to China from the West,Chinese children’s literature writers began to create fantasy literature with local characteristics.Cao Wenxuan’s children’s fantasy novels used their lightness imagination and unique literary features to open up the representative of national culture.It has a certain research value.It carries the author’s definition of the definition and future development of Chinese children’s fantasy novels.The study of narratology is the basis of the study of novels.The research on the works of children’s literature writers from the perspective of narratology is still relatively weak.Looking at children’s literature from the perspective of narrative can help us understand the story art of children’s literature more deeply,and better understand its significance for the creation and appreciation of children’s literature.Therefore,this thesis intends to study Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels and novels with fantasy elements from the perspective of narratology,so as to explore the narrative features of CaoWenxuan’s fantasy novels and the value pursuit and far-reaching significance.This article is mainly discussed in the following four parts:In the first place,we first sort out the localization process of Chinese children’s fantasy novels and explore the development trend of Chinese children’s fantasy novels.Secondly,it sorts out the research status of Cao Wenxuan and the research status of this topic.Finally,on the basis of combing,a brief overview of the research ideas of the thesis is given.In the first chapter,the narrative time and narrative space of fantasy novels are the external manifestations of the unique time and space of fantasy literature.The narrative elements of Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels are integrated with the narrative elements of the West and the traditional narrative elements,which highlights the unique cultural characteristics of the author.This chapter attempts to explore the narrative features of Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels from the perspective of narrative time and the spatial characteristics of narrative.The second chapter,the narrative strategy of the novel refers to the art and method of the author’s creation,which highlights the author’s superb narrative art.Therefore,this chapter mainly explores the four aspects.There are respectively narrative perspective,narrative rhetoric,narrative context and narrative language,in order to comprehensively andmore concretely examine the narrative features of Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels.In the third chapter,Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels bear the mission that fantasy novels should undertake.They use true high-quality fantasy literature to shape the future character of the nation,and truly create children’s fantasy novels with artistic imagination.Standing on the basis of traditional culture,this paper explores the narrative culture background of Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels,traces the original fantasy of “Shan Hai Jing”,reconstructs the animistic world of “Zhuangzi”,and reproduces the difficult mode of Chinese “Journey to the West”.The return of cultural origin examines the cultural roots of Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels in four aspects.Cao Wenxuan’s fantasy novels have superb narrative art features,while letting fantasy return to literature and let tradition. |
