This paper makes an empirical study on the application of game teaching in primary school English vocabulary teaching.This paper focuses on the influence of the game teaching on the learning of English vocabulary,including learning interest and learning effect.As is known to all,the foundation of English learning is vocabulary learning.For primary school students,mastering vocabulary is the basic requirement of learning English and the basic premise of communicating in English.Vocabulary is an important part of English learning,but the current situation of students' vocabulary is not optimistic.According to the author's survey,most teachers still adopt the traditional English vocabulary teaching mode in class.In this way,the students' vocabulary acquisition is poor,and in the real context,they cannot use English vocabulary flexibly.Students cannot develop an interest in English learning.The key to English teaching is to improve students' interest in learning.What kind of teaching method teachers should take in class to enable students to learn English vocabulary quickly?In recent years,many scholars have investigated the application of the game teaching in class.The game teaching requires teachers to use a variety of teaching resources to integrate the game into the classroomvocabulary teaching,making the teaching more visual and vivid.There is little empirical research in the primary stage based on this theory,so the author tries to teach English vocabulary with game teaching in a primary school classroom.The theoretical basis of this paper is the theory of multiple intelligence and constructivism.According to the teaching practice,the author applies the game teaching to the teaching of primary English vocabulary,and answers two questions after the experiment.1.What is the impact of game teaching on English vocabulary learning?2.How does game teaching affect the learning effect of English vocabulary?On the basis of these two problems,the author did the experiment in the two classes of Grade 5 at Red Star School in Xiangxiang,Hunan province.Before the experiment,students had a test.After selecting one of the classes for 12 weeks of teaching experiment,the experimental class use game teaching methods,another comparative class still be used the previous traditional vocabulary teaching model.After the experiment,vocabulary test and questionnaire were carried out for two classes.Before carrying out experiments,the students did a test,and the author analyzed the data and the questionnaire survey results respectively,and verified the application effect of game teaching,to seewhether the game teaching will affect the students' learning effect or not.In this study,the author found that in the teaching of English vocabulary in primary school,the effect of game teaching was significant,which could improve students' interest and confidence.Compared with the traditional model,game teaching can improve students' vocabulary level so that students can communicate,speak boldly and have good communication skills.
