Under the current international situation, our interpreters should follow the trend of the day, take efforts to widen horizon on a universal level in order to contribute to the development of bilateral relations, mutual understanding and consensus by constantly improving their interpreting ability. Therefore,it is of great benefit for interpreters to expand their knowledge of the overseas world in a timely manner. This report will select the documentary Stephen Fry in American as the source material for interpreting practice combined with Gile's interpretation comprehension equation: KL+ELK+A,proposed by Daniel Gill, professor of the Third University of Paris and Paris University of Translations,to analyze the influence of knowledge of linguistic,extra-linguistic knowledge and analytical competence on interpretation comprehension.Gill's interpretation comprehension equation will also be applied to review the interpreting practice after which has been completed to analyze the interpreting examples and make proofreading with the aim to explore solutions for interpreting comprehension problems. The purpose of this thesis is to understand influence of the three elements of Gile's interpretation comprehension equation on interpreters' comprehension, and to provide reference for interpreting learners to conduct simulated interpretation.Through the concrete analysis of simulated interpreting practice cases,it is found that the three elements of Gile's interpretation comprehension equation can interact and influence each other in the process of interpretation. Finally, while mastering knowledge of linguistic, the interpreters are required to constantly expand extra-linguistic knowledge and enhance logical thinking, cognitive thinking and position thinking.Only by doing both internal and external training can we understand the original language accurately and accomplish the interpretation fluently and accurately.Figure 0;Table 4;Reference 29...
