A Survey Of The Chinese Names Of Inter National Students And Suggestions Of Naming

In recent years,with the development of China’s economy and the high rate of openness to foreign country,more and more international students choose to come to study in China.A good Chinese name can help students study Chinese better and improve the standing of Chinese culture.This paper collected the Chinese names of international students and analyzed the phonetic characteristics of Chinese names,the characteristics of international students’ Chinese names and the attitudes of international students toward their Chinese names.The paper with purpose of giving some advice on how to give international students a good Chinese name.This thesis includes introduction,thesis text and conclusion.The introduction expounds the development and current research on the culture of Chinese name and names of international students and explains the purpose and the research method of this paper.The body part is composed of three chapters.The first chapter introduces the related content of the culture of Chinese name.The second chapter mainly analyze the sound,Chinese characters and the cultural meanings of Chinese names from international students.The third chapter mainly give some suggestions about how to give international students names.The conclusion part summarizes the research done in this paper and points out the existing problems,hoping to further improve in the future.
