As China expedites its internal economic reform and further opens towards the outside world,the communication activities between China and other countries become more frequent,which plays a vital role in the rapid development of China's economy and society.As a result,there is a growing demand for liaison interpreters for foreign exchange activities,followed by relevant academic researches.In most occasions,the interpreter chooses to play an invisible role in the interpreting process,but the author believes that the interpreter should adopt different strategy according to specific situations to accurately comprehend the speaker's intentions,coordinate the communication between the two sides,and achieve a better communication result.As to the relevant research of the subjectivity of interpreters,there are already some preliminary academic research at home and abroad.The author hopes to deepen his understanding of the subjectivity of interpreters by analyzing his interpretation practice.This report is based on the author's interpretation practice as a liaison interpreter in a business negotiation meeting.In the report,the author will describe in detail his pre-task preparation,on-site interpretation,and following evaluation.And the author tries to introduce the liaison interpreting and demonstrate the necessity of the subjectivity of interpreters.In addition,the author also selects some specific examples of his interpreting practice for analysis.By analyzing these examples,the author attempts to explain how,in different situation,the interpreter utilizes appropriate tactics,such as addition,omission,inquiry and adjustment,to consciously demonstrate the interpreter's subjectivity,filter inappropriate information and ensure a smooth communication.
