| In the history of Neo-Confucianism,Zhou Dunyi has a high status,is recognized as the ancestor of the mountain.However,its status has not been established overnight,but has experienced a historical process of reconstruction and construction by a large number of scholars such as Pan Xingsi,Pu Zongmeng,Hu Hong,Zhang Shi,Zhu Xi and so on.Zhou Dunyi was not famous in the Northern Song Dynasty,his works were not widely disseminated,and his thoughts did not have a great social influence at that time.He was widely praised only for his spiritual realm and political level.In fact,at that time,a group of scholars began to realize the ideological value of Zhou Dunyi,which laid the foundation for the research of Huxiang scholar,Zhu Xi and others in the Southern Song Dynasty.Similarly,Pan Xingsi and Pu Zongmeng,as good friends of Zhou Dunyi,recorded his life with great emphasis,and also provided valuable materials for the study of future generations.Relative to the above scholars,the study of Zhou Dunyi’s descendants has always been blank,as relatives,as laterIn the generation,there are some different interpretations of the image of Zhou Dunyi.In the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty,Zhou Dunyi’s academic thought began to receive extensive attention.Scholars Hu Hong,Zhang Shi and others of Huxiang School first discovered the academic value of Zhou Dunyi and revered it from the angle of Taoist inheritance.Zhu Xi collated and edited Zhou Dunyi’s works many times on the basis of Huxiang School,explained his thoughts and reconstructed his image.After Zhu Xi’s praise,Zhou Dunyi’s identity as the pioneer of Neo-Confucianism became a consensus.After that,Zhu DunYi’s position in the history of Neo-Confucianism was further consolidated by means of writing,building shrines and inviting posthumous titles on the basis of Zhu Xi.Their interpretation was largely in line with the master’s theory,but some new ideas began to sprout..The scholars of Yuan Dynasty gradually magnified these new thoughts,according to their own understanding,explained and interpreted Zhou Dunyi’s study from some new angles,and made a certain breakthrough and perfected Zhou Dunyi’s thought and image. |
