A Report On The Translation Of The Bidding Guide For International Engineering

Since the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward,Chinese enterprises have successively presided over or undertaken a large number of foreign infrastructure projects,such as electrical engineering,petroleum engineering,railway,water conservancy engineering,chemical engineering and so on.These projects must be carried out through the form of bidding,so how to put bidding into effect is particularly important.This translation practice report is based on the translator's own translation practice,studies the features of international engineering text and discusses how to better use appropriate translation methods,such as syntactic linearity,embedding,division,restructuring and explanation method,to translate complex sentences under the guidance of Skopos Theory,and then the translator analyzes the translation of special cases and discusses the difficulties in the text.The translation of complex sentences is the core of this report,so the translator gives a number of examples for detailed analysis,and finally summarizes the main findings and improvements in this translation practice.Through the analysis of these translation cases,the translation quality can be effectively improved and the translation errors can be avoided,which is of great significance to reduce translation errors and help companies carry out effective bidding.
