The Study On The Tripod Of Laoguantai

Tripod is a kind of ware named after the shape feature with three leggs at the bottom.In China,tripod was first found in the early neolithic age.The early tripod vessels were abundant in shape,including tripod pots,tripod bowls and tripod basins,which were widely distributed in the culture of laoguantai,peiligang and cishan.Into the early yangshao culture,peiligang and cishan culture area still continued the use of tripod pottery,but the wei river and han river basins where the laoguantai culture located,tripod ware completely disappeared.The existence of tripod also became one of the important bases to distinguish laoguantai and banpo.Starting from the general situation of the unearthed tripod of laoguantai culture,the characteristics of pottery combination and the grasp of morphological evolution,this paper makes a comprehensive study of the reasons for the emergence of the tripod of laoguantai culture through a comparative study with peiligang and cishan tripod.The pottery firing technique is a very important factor to produce the shape of pottery.Since the pottery kiln occurred,it is inevitable to have some structural defects,which easily affect the firing color and the quality of pottery.Tripod gives structural advantages and plays a supporting role in the pottery firing process.The use of tripod can raise the overall height of the pottery and reduce the generation of low-temperature dead angle,so as to ensure the uniform heating of the pottery and improve the firing quality.With the continuous adjustment of the structure of the ceramic kiln and the emergence of new supporting modes,the practical functions of the three-legged ware gradually decline.In addition,the cooking style that is quite different from peiligang and cishan culture makes the laoguandai culture always has no Zhijiao,pottery Ding and other utensils.At the end of the pottery firing process,the three-legged vessels were difficult to use.Accordingly,the three sufficient implement of old official stage culture are eliminated thoroughly eventually.This study provides a new clue to clarify the relationship between the laoguandai and banpo.And reveals that technical factors are also an important inducement for the cultural development and even mutation.
