Research On Chinese Cultural Words And Their Teaching

There are a large number of cultural words in the Chinese vocabulary system and there is the way of thinking,lifestyle and social and cultural background of the Chinese people behind these cultural words.It’s this hidden cultural significance that has brought considerable difficulties to the understanding and use of foreign students.With the rise of Chinese popularity,Chinese culture has spread all over the world,and the teaching of cultural vocabulary has been paid more and more attention.The research results of teaching theory in cultural vocabulary at home and abroad have provided theoretical support for the teaching practice of cultural words.At present,the teaching of Chinese cultural vocabulary is relatively weak in the study of teaching methods and national characteristics,which leads to the slow pace of exploration in the reform of Chinese cultural vocabulary teaching in recent years.At the same time,it’s also encountered with many obstacles for students in the process of learning cultural vocabulary.On the basis of previous studies,the related concepts of cultural vocabulary and the principles of Chinese cultural vocabulary teaching is firstly made an introduction.This paper probes into the present situation and existing problems of cultural vocabulary teaching for foreign students from four aspects: cultural vocabulary acquisition,cultural vocabulary teaching,teaching materials and training plan by the combination of literature research method,questionnaire method,and combined with their own experience in teaching,classroom observation,questionnaire results,etc.In addition,aiming at the existing problems and shortcomings,this paper is based on the present situation of Chinese cultural vocabulary teaching and learning for Xinjiang university students in order to put forward some personal views and suggestions on the teaching of cultural vocabulary from the perspective of teaching and teaching materials,provide some help for the learning and teaching of Chinese culturalvocabulary for students abroad of Xinjiang University and to promote students to understand accurately,quickly master cultural vocabulary,and constantly improve their level of Chinese vocabulary.
