The Application Of Regong Tangka’s Colors In Decorative Painting

Regong is located in Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province,where the intangible cultural heritage "Regong Art" was born.There are many kinds of "Regong Art",including sculpture art,wood carving art and embroidery art,among which Regong Tangka is a very important part of "Regong Art" and the most important form of painting in Regong area.After the previous study of Tangka art,there are many research results in composition,shape and pattern,but there are few studies on color,especially on the color of Regong Tangka.By analyzing the color of Regong Tangka,we can further feel the beauty of Regong Tangka art.Therefore,this paper regards the color of Regong Tangka as the main research content,through analyzing the coloring techniques and rules of Regong Tangka,and combining the professional decorative art design that I have learned to create decorative paintings.The first part of the paper describes the background,purpose and significance of the research;the second part of the paper describes the development and classification of Regong Tangka,and also compares the similarities and differences between Regong Tangka and Tibetan Tangka;the third part of the paper explains the basic coloring techniques of Regong Tangka,and focuses on the religious meaning of Regong Tangka color and the law of color expression.The color elements of Regong Tangka are analyzed from three aspects: simple color,complementary color contrast and unique use of golden color.The fourth part is its own design practice.Considering from the direction of decorative art design and combining the color characteristics of Regong Tangka,it creates decorative paintings with national traditional flavor.Finally,it discusses the characteristics of Regong Tangka.The advantages and significance of applying the color of Regong Tangka to the creation of decorative paintings.
