Inquires Into Davidson’s Theory Of Knowledge

The important position of theory of knowledge is unshakable.The research and analysis of theory of knowledge has a very important and profound theoretical significance in philosophy.From Plato in ancient Greece,knowledge was regarded as a true belief in confirmation,but until the beginning of the last century,Gettier publicly questioned the traditional definition of knowledge in an essay.The study of theory of knowledge has once again become a hot spot and has occurred in research priorities.The transformation focused on exploring the understanding and corroboration of knowledge.Davidson’s theory of knowledge also focuses on this.This paper focuses on Davidson’s theory of knowledge and studies it based on the principle of rationality.The principle of rationality is mainly embodied in the principles of Triangulation,Convention T and Charity.We will see that Davidson’s theory of knowledge draws a different view of knowledge from different perspectives based on the principle of rationality.The introduction part of this paper briefly introduces the development trend and direction of current knowledge theory.The main body of this paper consists of three parts:The first part mainly introduces the current research trends of knowledge theory and two philosophers who have significant influence on Davidson’s theory of knowledge,analyzes the relationship between their thoughts,and briefly introduces Davidson’s theory of knowledge.The second part is to carry out the study of Davidson’s theory of knowledge from the perspective of the principle of rationality,from the three aspects of figuration,namely,the theory of Triangulation,the principle of Convention T,the principle of Charity,and the rationality of its theory of knowledge.The third part draws the meaning and influence of Davidson’s theory of knowledge from two aspects.On the one hand,it has an impact on the development of foundationalism theory of knowledge and coherence theory of knowledge;on the other hand,it has an impact on American pragmatism.
