Wang Mingsheng's Yi Shu Bian(?????)and Hong Mai's Zhai Sui Bi(??????)and Wang Yinglin's Kun Xue Ji Wen??????)are also called the three major academic notes.Its contents are very extensive.They are about the systems,artifacts,words,characters,geography,inscriptions,etc in ancient China.It has high academic value.It includes the forteen volumes of Shuo Lu(????),the twenty-two volumes of Shuo Zi(????),the forteen volumes of Shuo Di(????),the ten volumes of Shuo Ren(????),the two volumes of Shuo Wu????),the twelve volumes of Shuo Zhi????),the six volumes of Shuo Ji(????),the two volumes of Shuo Tong????),the ten volumes of Ke(????)and the two volumes of(????),a total of ten categories,ninety-five volumes.This article focuses on the phonological part of it,and carefully analyzes and studies the content of phonological knowledge,summing up Wang Mingsheng's phonological thought.Wang Mingsheng's philosophy of phonology is in line with Gu Yanwu.It promotes ancient sounds,opposes the ancient and modern rhythm,and strives to restore ancient sounds through literature research.Wang Mingsheng also put forward the phonological viewpoints that are very helpful to us,such as ' Wu dialect is close to the ancient sounds'.He also clarified the calligraphy and rhyming books of ancient times,pointed out the fallacies,and tested the rhyme,which provided many new materials for the study of phonology today.Wang Mingsheng also examined the poetry rhymes,and opposed 'chong yun(??)'and 'tong niu zi lian ya(?????)',and commented on Li Bai,Du Fu,Han Yu,Su Shi and other literati poetry works,pointing out the place where the rhyme is inconsistent,and also checking the pronunciation and font shape.He also clarified the many fallacies that have arisen in the process of circulation.
