Color is a kind of painting language that can highlight the painter's unique artistic style. The color of Chinese painting has appeared since the neolithic period, such as painted pottery POTS with human face and fish pattern, and painted pottery POTS with storks and stone axes, etc.,all of which are valuable human cultural heritage. With the continuous progress of civilization, the development of painting has reached its peak.Palace paintings are richly colored, religious paintings are colorful, literati paintings are pure and simple, folk paintings are festive and peaceful.I analyzed the use of subjective colors in traditional paintings through ancient paintings such as dao liangtu and dunhuang frescoes.I also analyzed the purity, lightness and black and white of colors in the works through the three works of "the family with a cat","far away" and "people and nature".Both ancient and modern paintings can reflect the use of subjective color. The first chapter of this paper expounds the different interpretations of color in ancient Chinese paintings, and analyzes them respectively from four categories: court painting, religious painting, literati painting and folk painting. The first section of the second chapter is about the color purity.Through the analysis of the works, the paper expounds the embodiment of color purity in the picture. The second section is specifically about color lightness, and the third section is the influence of black and white on colors.White can make colors loud, while black can make colors stable. The second chapter reflects the application of subjective color through the analysis of three works.
