STEAM originates from America.The government of America calls for STEAM planning to enhance education.It overs science,technology,engineering,art and math.STEAM not only advocates acquiring all the subjects separately,but also calls for integrating all these subjects.It helps students to know how to solve problems they are interested in or related to real life during the process of learning.It enhances their problem solving skills as well as their innovation,basing it on the process of crossing subject study.With the development of junior education,it is obviously showing up subject isolation.There are also STEAM sources in English teaching,therefore combining STEAM and "ENGLISH" in instructional design,not only breaking the traditional teaching method but also facilitating problem solving in English teaching.What's more,it represents an application and innovation in the area of merging instructional design as well as new methods.This research first uses the literature survey method to sort out a large amount of literature and constructs the information leadership framework of the principals of Ningxia primary school.Then it selects three strategies based on the concept and target of STEAM,summarizing two approaches.In the end,it designs two teaching cases and applies it into a native school and testing it.My essay divides into six parts.The first part:illuminating the background,meaning and status of my essay.Then pointing out the context and methods of my essay,and defining relative definition.The second part:figuring out five instructional principles.Selecting several teaching principles and combining them with the goal and conception of STEAM,then modifying three approaches.The third part:Research on the application of STEAM instructional design in junior middle school English.In this study,the experts first proposed opinions on the two designed teaching cases and revised the cases.After the completion of the first round of research,the revised plan will be applied to the second round of research,and the teaching design will be applied to 2 middle schools in Ningxia province.The study will be completed through teaching,and students will actually participate in the classroom teaching of junior middle school English according to the three teaching designs.After observing and reflecting on the teaching,the teaching plan was constantly improved,and finally formed the teaching plan of STEAM application in junior middle school English.The five part:Summary and outlook.This paper summarizes the previous parts,points out the shortcomings and innovations of the research,and puts forward some opinions on the research.
