The late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China were a special period of great turbulence in Chinese society.Everything in economic,political,cultural,and educational fields has undergone earth-shaking changes.As an educational undertaking closely linked to society,reform education has become one of the ways to promote social development and revitalize the country.The transformation of Gansu education from tradition to new style began in the late Qing Dynasty and experienced a transition from germination to transition to slow progress.There are many ethnic groups in Gansu Province,complex provincial conditions,remote geographical location,inconvenient transportation,and the wartime warfare in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.It is also affected by natural disasters.Under the influence of many factors,the transformation of Gansu education cannot be Completed in a short period of time.This makes the transformation of Gansu education only a fragmentary,lack of coherence in the establishment of a new education system,leading to imbalances in the process of education transformation.Some places may have completed transformation,and some places may still be old-style traditional education.Even under the influence of natural disasters,there may be a phenomenon of stagnation.However,with the continuous development of the times,the transformation of Gansu education is still difficult,and gradually established relevant institutions and institutions for new education.Based on the relevant historical materials of Gansu education and some newspaper articles and articles,some of the papers focus on the main content of Gansu education from the traditional to the new beginning and transformation and the factors that restrict the transformation.First of all,from the social environment at that time and the cultural and educational policies of the Qing court,this paper discusses the background conditions of Gansu's educational transformation and analyzes how Gansu education follows the pace of education at that time.Secondly,it focuses on the main transformational contents of Gansu education from tradition to new style.It mainly examines the transformation process from four aspects:the change of educational content,the change of educational organization form,the change of educational thought and the change of talent concept.The main aspects and content of Gansu education in the process of transformation to establish a new education system.Finally,through the overall combing of Gansu education transformation process,the factors that restrict Gansu's education transformation are summarized,and the impact on Gansu's educational transformation is analyzed from four aspects:geographic location,social ecology,cultural environment and education funding.It can also be seen that the transformation of Gansu education has also promoted the development of Gansu education in the modern era.
