The Protection And Development Of Luzhi Ancient Town Under The Concept Of "Slow City"

The ancient town represents the process of the town in a certain historical period,reflects the characteristics of the historical stage and the national characteristics.It is a precious historical and cultural heritage of China,and also a concentrated expression of national memory and national culture.Located in Suzhou City,Jiangsu Province,Luzhi ancient town is one of the most complete preserved ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River,and one of the four historical and cultural towns in Jiangsu Province.The ancient town of Luzhi has numerous historical sites and rich intangible cultural heritage preservation,with high historical,cultural,artistic and economic values and concentrated distribution.In recent years,remarkable achievements have been made in the protection and development work,but the rapid urbanization,the accelerating pace of life,and the crowded space have also cast a shadow over the development of the ancient town.With the rise of the international slow city concept,slow city put forward to establish a slow pace of life of the urban form,in order to ensure that residents live a relaxed life while pursuing sustainable development,in the clean natural ecological environment,enjoy local cuisine,heritage of local folk culture,this people-oriented and reverse urbanization of urban protection and development concept gradually swept the world.Nowdays,more than 200 towns in 30 countries and regions have joined in the International Slow City Alliance to jointly build slow-paced cities.The Luzhi government also actively applies for and constructs the international slow city and actively promotes the "slow city concept" in the whole town,which provides a new opportunity for the development of Luzhi ancient town.This paper is to explore the protection and development strategies of Luzhi ancient towns from the new perspective of slow city concept,focusing on the driving force and influence of slow city concept on the protection and development of historic ancient towns,and come up with counterplans and suggestions including four parts:planning layout,ecological protection,cultural inheritance and industrial development.This paper mainly includes three parts:introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction covers the research background,domestic and foreign research review,innovation,research ideas and others.The context is mainly composed of four parts.The first is the definition of related concepts,mainly introduces the connotation and core concept of the slow city at home and abroad,summing up the construction mode of the slow city at home and abroad.It also defines the concept of historic town,discusses the relationship between the concept of slow city and the protection of historic town,and analyzes the feasibility of applying the concept of slow city to the protection and development of historic town.The second is to sort out the brief situation and historical development of the ancient town of Luzhi,the research object of this paper.On the basis of existing historical materials,the value analysis of the historical and cultural resources of the ancient town is emphasized.Third,summarize the current situation and open questions of conservation and development of Luzhi.Ultimately,combine the existing protection and development basis of Luzhi ancient town,this paper discusses how Luzhi ancient town will use the concept of slow city to realize more livable space,better ecological protection,more lasting cultural inheritance and more characteristic industrial development in the future.The conclusion summarizes and improves the theme of the paper,rethinks the shortcomings of the research and makes an outlook to the preservation and development of historic towns under the slow city concept.
