Research On Adapting Two Chinese Piano Works From Pipa Music

Although Jiang Wenye and Mr.Lu Huabai are both in the same era,their growing environment and experiences are not the same,but they both have made great contributions to the development of Chinese piano music.As composers,they have enriched the repertoire of Chinese piano works,and as educators,they have trained outstanding musical talents.Out of their love for the excellent traditional Chinese music culture and their heart of inheriting and developing it,the two people made a creative adaptation of the same pipa song "Chunjiang Huayueye" without knowing each other,both in the 1940s.From the above,it is of unique significance and research value to analyze the two piano works based on pipa created by the two composers.This article starts with the Chinese piano adaptations,and summarizes the Chinese piano adaptations,Chinese national instrumental adaptations and piano compositions adapted from pipa music from macro to micro levels.Secondly,taking the third piano sonata "Jiangnan scenery" and "Xunyang ancient tune" created by Mr.Jiang wenye and Mr.Lu Huabai as the research objects,this paper attempts to clarify the creative characteristics and unique flavor of the two Chinese piano adaptations through case analysis of the creative background,musical structure and music analysis of different works.Finally,through the combination of my own concert performance practice and expert interviews,I try to explore the practical significance and value of pipa adapted piano music to contemporary Chinese piano works creation and live transmission.
