Research On Piano Four-Hands Works Of China(1946-2018)

Piano four-hands play is a vital part of piano cooperative performance,it’s popular among the musicians and music lovers all over the world.Composers of different historical periods and different nations have adapted many solos.Concertos and other forms of music works into piano four-hands works,this kind of adaption enhances the melody,enriches the harmony and makes the works more appealing.As for piano performers,this unique performance form allows players to improve the playing skills while enjoy themselves.The creation of piano Four-Hands works in China begins in 1949,when Jiang Dingxian first created "Xikang Minge",and has entered a new period since the reform and opening-up.Although Four-hands works have been included in many Chinese piano textbooks,they are still not in sufficient quantities to satisfy demands of Chinese people.So in order to make new progress,it is very important to summarize and analyze the works of Chinese piano Four-Hand play.In this study,the author focuses on the piano Four-Hand works compiled and published in China,classified them according to their backgrounds,characteristics and significance,and makes a systematic analysis in the perspective of musical text,musicology and sociology.The four chapters of this article are as follows:The introduction chapter emphasized the background and value of this research through historical and prospective insights.The second chapter presented the origin and development of piano Four-Hands works at home and abroad.In the third chapter,the piano Four-Hand works published in China have been classified into four major categories according to their difficulties,and their background and characteristics are analyzed separately.The last chapter summarized the characteristics of Chinese piano Four-Hands works,and analyses the artistic concepts of music works and composers in the aspect of pedagogy and Sociology.In this article,the author tries to explore the subjectivity of teaching objects,emphasize the value of these piano four-hands works and make a complete overview of the creation of Chinese piano four-hands works.
