| As an important genre of literary works,children’s literature has played an important role in children’s daily life for a long time.With the further development of globalization,cultural exchanges between the international communities have become constantly expanded.In recent years,a large number of excellent foreign children’s literary works have been introduced into China.Although a lot of translated works of children’s literature appear in the market,the quality of the translations is uneven.At present,there are not many studies on the translation of children’s literature in China,and the development of theory and practice is in an unbalanced state.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out in-depth study of children’s literature translation.Based on eco-translatology,this paper focuses on the study of the present author’ s translation Natural Born Loser from the perspective of the three-dimensional transformation.In the first place,the pre-translation preparation,translation process and post-translation work of translation practice are discussed,in which the characteristics of children’s literature,the content of Natural Born Loser and the requirements for the translation based on the characteristics of children’s literature are analyzed.Then in the following chapter,the paper introduces the Eco-translatogy proposed by Hu Gengshen,focusing on several important concepts,such as translational eco-environment,translation as Adaption and Selection and the three-dimensional transformation.The paper also discusses the application of eco-translatology in children’s literature translation.Then in the body part,the author analyzes a number of translation examples from linguistic dimension,cultural dimension and communicative dimension,focusing on the translation at phonological,lexical,syntactical and rhetorical levels,as well as the transmission of cultural information and the conveyance of communication intention of the original text.It is hoped that this study can provide more theoretical perspectives and some references for the further exploration in children’s literature translation. |
