Nowadays,as an important international role,with the development of the country and a stable economy,more and more foreigners come to China to study or work,and there are also many preparatory students.Before entering the Chinese higher education institutions,these students must pass a one-year intensive education and decide whether they can be admitted to the chosen school according to their grades.We call them a preparatory student.When studying Chinese and learning about Chinese culture,preparatory students also read as the most efficient way to learn.This paper studies the use of reading strategies by preparatory students in the process of learning Chinese.The main research method of this paper is the questionnaire survey method.57 preparatory students from the Central China Normal University are surveyed.Based on the six strategies applied to reading,50 questionnaire questions about reading strategies are formulated.Using questionnaires,statistical analysis of the use of various strategies and analysis of the impact of external factors(such as age,gender,regional sources,etc.)on the choice of reading strategies for preparatory students,and the reading strategies and CSC test results Correlation between.This thesis consists of five chapters:At first this paper introduces the topic selection,research significance and methods,and the related research summary of reading strategies at home and abroad.The first chapter combs the definition and classification of reading strategies.This paper adopts the definition and classification of reading strategies with higher academic recognition as the theoretical basis of this paper.The second chapter is the design of the questionnaire description,including the objectives of this questionnaire and the reliability and validity test.The third chapter is the statistics and analysis of the data of the questionnaire.The main part of the thesis;the forth chapter is the reading strategies and CSC test results Correlation between.The last part of thesis is the conclusion of the thesis.This paper uses SPSS software to conduct statistics and analysis on the data of the questionnaire.The conclusions are:social strategy and meta-cognitive strategy are the reading strategies of most preparatory students,and the use of each external factor in each strategy.In the study,gender factors and regional source factors affected the use of preparatory students to a certain extent,while memory strategies and social strategies have a certain impact on CSC test scores.Through this thesis,we can understand the learning characteristics of the research objects and the differences in the use of each reading strategy,and also enable the learners to have a deeper understanding of their own learning situation,and can make up for and improve the Chinese level according to their own advantages and disadvantages.Research also provides reliable reference materials and effective learning methods for future researchers.Finally,I hope that the study of reading and learning strategies in this thesis can provide some reference for Chinese teachers and learners,which is also the value of this paper.
