We have 70 students for preparatory course in our school, and they are divided into grade A,B,C,D. Each grade will have reading&writing class, spoken class, listening class, extensive reading and exam training class for HSK grade test. 30 hours of China Introduction class will be arranged to grade C and D each semester. This curriculum design not only conforms with the national rules to preparatory students, but also reflects it’s centralization, strong intensity and efficiency. After learning Chinese language, these preparatory students will take HSK test to test their Chinese language degree; while in the whole test, reading part will make up one third since the importance of reading goes without saying. At present, preparatory education in China is still in the initial stage, and the main study of preparatory students concentrates on administration. As for the whole field of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, the teaching and administration of language students are in better shape day by day. And papers and essays in this aspect are growing year by year. However, for the center with preparatory students, the study of their learning strategies is far from enough. Therefore, there is still a big space to develop in this aspect. This paper will try to use questionnaire survey and theoretical analysis to study the reading strategies of preparatory students in our school.
