The dog is the first animal to be domesticated by humans and one of the earliest animals to accompany.From ancient times to the present,there are countless records on the history of dogs.They first appeared in the form of totems.At present,many ethnic minority cultures in China still retain the worship of the "canine" totem.Later,the image of "canine" appears in the figure paintings until the Song Dynasty.It has evolved into a separate painting theme,and there are not many paintings of the "canine" theme in the past.This thesis studies the paintings and images of the "canine" theme in Chinese traditional painting from three parts.First of all,the first part elaborates from three aspects: the content of the topic,the topic and meaning of the topic,and the related research dynamics.Secondly,the second part sorts out the artistic origin and development of the image of "canine" and analyzes the dog in different historical backgrounds.The characteristics of the subject paintings are summarized in the paintings of the "canine" theme of the past generations.They are divided into two forms of "subject" and "framing" in tabular form,and the representative works of these two forms are analyzed;the last part is excavated.Screening ten "canine" allusions,and dividing the cultural images contained in the "canine" allusions into five categories: tenacity,loyalty,loyalty,good fortune,graciousness,and poverty,combined with the creation of the story The reappearance analyzes the cultural connotation and the status of "canine culture" in Chinese culture.This paper adopts scientific research methods such as comparative research method and literature analysis method,and is devoted to enriching the connotation of "canine" painting through the insertion of cultural allusions.
