In recent years,with the increasing development of global ocean economy and the tight connections between countries,Blue Economy has a good developing foreground all over the world.China,as a large marine country,has lots of marine resources.Using marine resources in the right way will improve China's economic development.As a pronounced part of the marine economy,algae science and technology is constantly flourishing.Translating materials on algae science and technology can not only improve marine algae technology for China but also provide an algae technology reference for the enterprises.This report is based on the English-Chinese translation of "A Pilot Feasibility Study for Characterisation and Extraction of High Value Products from Macroalgae,.It can be divided into four chapters.Chapter 1 is a brief introduction to the source material.Chapter 2 is translation process,including pre-translating preparation,while-translating arrangement and post-translating proof-reading.Chapter 3 is case analysis.As the core part of the translation practice report,under the guidance of Skopos theory,the translator further analyzes the translation techniques at lexical,syntactical and discourse level.Chapter 4 is conclusion,in which the translator rethinks profoundly through this translation practice,then summarizes some translation experience,at last,raises some problems to be solved.Through this translation practice,the translator not only deepens the understanding of translation theory,but also improves translation skills.Meanwhile,it is hoped that this report can provide a certain reference value for marine technology.
