With the deepening of the English teaching reform,English teaching has received more and more attention.National English Curriculum Standards for Common Senior High School points out that in English classroom instruction,teachers should design open and interactive teaching activities to develop students' abilities of learning and applying English in self-studying,cooperative studying and inquiry studying.This thesis attempts to change the deficiency of traditional English teaching model and improve students' applying and learning English abilities.At first,the author analyzes the students' English learning levels and learning abilities by collecting a large number of real data,which including questionnaires,test papers and observations.Before consulting the teaching model,the teacher should prepare some necessary work to make himself or herself be more professional.Then my thesis instructor,the English teacher and I have a discussion about the teaching model of individual participation and then trying our best to construct the teaching model of individual participation.At last the English teacher applies it in high school English class.After nearly four months of teaching practices,comparing the obtained data with the previous data,the conclusions are drawn: Firstly,the teaching model of individual participation can motivate students to participate in the class actively and improve their English learning abilities.Secondly,the teaching model of individual participation can improve students' English scores.Thirdly,the teaching model of individual participation can promote the independent development of teachers.At last,the author analyzes the shortcomings in the experimental process and points out further research directions.
