On The Predicament Theme In Li Rui's Novels

Li Rui is a writer who is difficult to classify in the contemporary literary circle.In his 40 years of novel creation,Li Rui has dedicated six long stories and four short and medium stories,represented by Hou Tu,to the readers.Li Rui is especially good at the creation of historical novels.He has always had his own unique thinking on the "China problem",striving to give his own response,and then to seek the significance of human existence in the predicament.His works win readers' recognition with the profundity of thought,while also highly recognized by the academic circles.Throughout Li Rui's fiction creation over the years,questioning the plight of human beings is a penetrating theme.Li Rui's special attention to the plight stems from his special experience in the six years of "Cultural Revolution" and Lv Liangshan's queue jumping.The contradiction between ideal and reality constitutes the greatest motivation for his plight writing.Li Rui's predicament writing has a distinct personality and far-reaching significance.Since his famous work Houtu Tu,Li Rui has made a unique and profound presentation of the theme of dilemma with his keen insight into history and reality and unremitting exploration and innovation in art.His colloquial writing has constantly changed the way of literary imagination of China.Based on this,the thesis focuses on the dilemma theme of Li Rui's novel.On the basis of careful reading of the text,it uses the theories of psychoanalysis,identity and feminism to carry out analysis and discussion from three aspects: type presentation,artistic expression and ideological implication.The first chapter takes the typical characters in Li Rui's novel as the breakthrough point,and explores three different types of life: survival,spirit and identity.Chapter two analyses the artistic prominence of Li Rui's novel to the theme of predicament from narrative perspective,narrative structure and language rhetoric.Chapter three explores the psychological motivation of Li Rui's writing of predicament based on Li Rui's personal growth experience and the social context of the times.On this basis,it explores Li Rui's creative purpose of "questioning human predicament from an individual perspective" and the value of his ideological enlightenment.
