A Study On The Tales Of Nanban Stealing Treasures

The story of Nanban robbing treasures is very popular in northern China.This paper is based on many texts of the story of Nanban's theft of treasures,tracing the development of the story from uthe perspective of history,discussing the general historical trajectory of such stories,using the typology,the story morphology theory from the synchronic angleo to analyze the geographical distribution and morphological structure of these stories,and exploring the unique social and cultural psychology of northern people under the dimension of "self" and "other".The first,this paper sorts out the evolution process of the treasure story of Nanban from the perspective of history,It is pointed out that the story of Nanban stealing treasure was developed from the story of stealing treasure in Tang dynasty,it experienced bud,development,mature 3 period in total.The second,this paper makes a type analysis of the treasure story of Nanban from the angle of synchronicity,according to the collection and collation of 71 Nanban robbing a treasure story text.According to the plot of the difference is divided into eight variants: Stone door open variant,Magic artifact variant,Prohibited treasure loot variant,Protect treasure variant,Break Geomantic superstition variant,Treasure failure type variant,Treasure manifestation variant,Robbing treasure variant successfully.The plot structure of each variant is briefly discussed in turn.Then,the main used of story morphology theory of Rop and Alan Dundee on the basis of type research to analyze the stability and variability of the robbing treasure story of Nanban,to deeply analyze the changing features of the story form and structure.First of all,it based on the plot of the 71 story texts,according to the structure pattern of "motifeme-motif-allo-motif" made a pedigree table.Then,it analysised each type variant motif position arrangement situation in the form of lists,discussed the order and rule of motif position,pointing out the different ways in which treasures are stolen,the change of the main character.The forbidden behaviors in the story will change the shape and structure of the story.Finally,This paper take the story of stone gate opening variant as an example,discussing the regular variation of motif variants in specific texts and summarizing its stability factors.Finally,the paper dig for multiple contradictions in the story such as The center and the edge,the commercial civilization and the agricultural civilization,the human and the nature and so on mainly in the opposition relationship between "self" and "other".It explores the stigmatization of the image of "the other" Nanban and its cultural causes,and the dilemma of "self" in the conflict between commercial civilization and agricultural civilization.Struggling northerners not only through the folk discourse to convey their own sense of anxiety,but also try to find a way of relief in the folk narrative.This relieves tension and anxiety.
