Research On The Adaptation Of The Online Motion Pictures Under The Perspective Of Intertextuality

The term “Intertextuality” was proposed by Julia Christieva,a French feminist critic in the 1960,naming that all texts are derived from other texts.Thus,it focuses on the relations between different texts.As a classic work of Chinese culture,the Journey to the West is famous for its magical plot narration and has always been adapted into various versions.The scripts of Xiyou online films originate from the text of the Journey to the West,owing a sound intertextual relation with the book text.In recent years,online films have become a rising star of the film and television industry.Since its birth in 2014,films themed on Xiyou with diverse characteristics have hit the theaters.In this paper,the intertextuality theory is used to analyze Xiyou works created in the golden age of the online films.The links and alienation in intertextuality are discussed respectively,so as to provide theoretical basis for the adaptation of the Xiyou online films.
