| Currently, in the spread of New Media, the concept of animation has become different gradually. It has been divorced from the traditional production, viewing, and consumption patterns completely. At the same time, it is generated with the development of technology and spread along the Internet. Especially, in recent years, with the popularity of the computer and the rapid development of Internet, the areas of animation’s application and display has been fully expanded. Moreover, the scope of animation can be extended from the traditional animation, which focuses on the film and television, to all available animation as a visual representation. The art form of animation continues to be extended and innovated with the development of technology.In the information age, animation has been slowly integrated into the public life, and decomposed into a variety of "information", "words" and "audio-visual debris". Motion Picture, as a new art form of animation, often appears in graphic interchange format (GIF). Motion Picture is short and its volume is small, which suits for the "information", "words" and "audio-visual debris" that we use in our life. At the same time, it also shows the status of informational fragmentation of the cotemporary Internet.In this paper, Motion Picture will be regarded as a research direction. I will study its development, technical characteristics, art forms and inter-media, business value, cultural value. Meanwhile, I will analyze the events, Motion Picture triggers in the social media, in order to explore the potential of Motion Picture in the development of Internet. |
