An Analysis Of Family Appellations And Its Changing Form

Family appellation is the word that refer to a family member,all of appellation that used in family and used to call the people who have a relative relationship can be regarded as family appellation.Family appellation is the part of appellation,but there is existing some differences,so the research is going to observe and analy^e.in order to summarize factors that effect to select or to use appellation words:to sum up the appellation word's form or structure that be used in family;and to sum up the regular for the close or distance of family member's relationship,or a family's circumstance by observe the using appellation words.According to researched results,found that the mainly appellation's principles are the principle of grade;the principle of relationship distance;the principle of respect;the principle of cooperation.After discuss and analyze,these four principles are affected by some factors,there are the order of seniority in the family factor;the close or distant relative factor;the emotions factor;the other participator and formal degree of commmication factor.Moreover,these principles and factors are the decisive elements for selecting appellation words.This research collects the appellations that appear in a family life from a family drama name 'Dwelling Narrowness',then summarize the appellations form and structure that all be used in the family.To systematic analytical in every appellation form,this research will discuss from various angles,the research takes all collected appellations into appellation's formal function group and appellation's structure group.For appellation's formal function can be divided in to relative appellation and specific appellation.For appellation's structure can be divided in to fixed combine unit and temporary combine unit.After analyze and summarize,we found that some structures can affect to the relationship and mental distance berween two persons.For example,'.processive pronoun(1st person)+relative appellation/first name" imply the closely relationship;" demonstrative pronoun last name+interrogative pronoun/first name" "personal pronoun(2nd person)+first name/total namev imph dissatisfied.According to the result of chapter 3,we know that a different appellation form or structure can affect to the mental distance or can change the relationship between two persons.In order to understand thoroughly about family member's relationship and circumstance,the research is going to observe the change of relationship and the change of appellations form,to find out the changing pattern.The changing of relationship is divided into two terms,there are from far to close and from close to far.Since the scene or circumstance on a drama is similar to the actual life,so the research would take the scenes from family drama name 'Dwelling Narrowness' as examples,then observe the change of manner and emotion,and interrelation with appellations using.According to observing and analyzing the drama circumstances,then conclude the result,find that the change of appellations pattern according to the degree of the relationship or emotions,from close to far is:[(1)diminutive:special commendatory term;processive pronoun(1st person),noun]?[(2)Lao/Xiao + last name/last name/relative appellation]?[(3)fist name]?[(4)total name]?[(5)first mane+personal pronoun(2nd person)]?[(6)special derogatory term]?[(7)invisible form of address].
