Research On The Application Of Montage In Character Microdocumentaries

In the era of new media,micro-documentaries based on traditional documentaries emerge in time,greatly expanding the ranks of film and television practitioners,enriching the means of film and television creation,and providing more possibilities for people to appreciate films and obtain information.In micro-documentaries,the character micro-documentaries,owing to their own characteristics of the times,have gradually gained a firm foothold in the market and been pushed forward by the times.The blowout development also leads to the poor overall quality of micro-documentaries.The theoretical guidance of micro-documentary creation is in a blank embarrassing situation.As a small branch of micro-documentaries,character micro-documentaries can hardly escape the neglected situation.As a means of editing and creation,montage shines brilliantly in the creation of audio films in the past.It provides a solid theoretical basis and a variety of creative means for the creation of all films,greatly improves the quality of the film,brings the audience a sense of beauty,and at the same time gives the audience more space and inspiration for daydreaming.This paper attempts to explore and study the guiding significance of montage to the creation of character micro-documentaries in the light of the self-created character micro-documentary "Street Artist-A Watch".Through the study,it is found that the montage technique is applicable to all film creation.In the film Street Artist A Watch,both the combination of pictures,the cohesion of music and the collision of ideas follow the general principles of montage.In addition,the study finds that Montage plays an immeasurable role in restoring the richness of characters through contrast,continuity and lyricism,which ensures the quality of characters’ micro-records and enhances their competitive advantages for the survival of the market.
