Errors Analysis And Coping Strategies In Interpretation

This is an interpreting practice report.Based on the author's practice in Zhenbeibu West China Studio on October 10,2018,she analyzed factors that affect the quality of interpretation and errors in production of her interpretation practice and proposed relevant coping strategies.The author referred to the studies of other scholars on the factors affecting the quality of interpretation and analyzed the factors affecting the quality of her interpretation practice.She reflected the whole process of her interpretation and found that the main factors that affect her interpretation are insufficient knowledge of English accent,lack of extra-linguistic knowledge and poor skills of note taking.She analyzed the errors in her interpretation:loss of information,misinterpretation and incoherence.In accordance with the studies of other professors and researchers and the author's interpretation practice,the author believes that sufficient short-term,long-term,mental preparation and adoption of interpreting skills can help to improve the quality of interpretation before escorting interpretation.It is expected that this practice report can benefit other interpreters for their learning and practice.
