The Research On The Land Force Of Gansu Province From 1912 To 1925

During the Beiyang period,Nrngxia Road and Xining Road were under the jurisdiction of Gansu province because they had not developed into independent provinces.Therefore,Gansu Province was the largest province,as well as a military stronghold in the northwest at that time.During this period,there were many wars among warlords.As a key place in northwest China,although there was no major war in Gansu compared with other regions in China,its political situation and social development were also deeply influenced by warlords.In view of this phenomenon,I hope to study construction of the Gansu Army from the perspective of military history.Through the study of the military establishment,weapons and equipment,logistics construction,military education,and social influence of the Gansu Army during the Beiyang government period,the author believes that,although the Gansu Army is developing towards the modernization of the Army at the institutional level,it is affected by factors such as political unrest and local separatism,which has led to a deviation in the Army's modernization process.In terms of military establishment,the Gansu army has basically transitioned to a new one.Although weapons and equipment have been greatly improved,their overall level is still lagging behind due to financial resources and the influence of the powers on China's arms embargo.In the logistics construction,a complete logistics system has not been established;military training and military education are backward in the internal construction of the military,resulting in poor quality of soldiers and officers,and the inferiority of the warlords has not been eradicated;relations between the army and the people are terrible.The military had an extremely bad impact on society without the trust and support of the people.So the Gansu Army is still far from the modem army.
