The Research On Intercultural Adaptation Of Thai Students In Wuhan

China and Thailand are considered as relative,the cultures of two countries have been exchanged for long time.Cultural and educational exchanging are the basic infrastructure to develop the relationship of the both countriesIncreasing number of students are attracted to study in China eontinuously.Thailand is one of other countries which has lots of students to study here with the number is growing rapidly.Wuhan is one of the city in China that Thai students come to study basic Chinese languages,Bachelor degree,Master degree and Ph.D.degree.Even Thailand' and China have similar culture but in deep there are still have some difference in their own culture,social,life satisfaction scale,communication and education.There are four parts of this research start with introduction,objective,content,research methodology and theory.In chapter 1,the research will show the scope of questionnaire that related to the adaptations of Thai students at Wuhan,interview,respondents5 information and reliability of the questionnaires.Followed by results from the questionnaires and the interview.Chapter 3,an investigation of Cross-cultural Adaptation Variables of Thai Students and The analysis of Individual Factors that affect the Cross-cultural Adaptation.Summary the issues on the adaptation of Thai students in Wuhan with recommendation will be disclosed in the chapter 4.This research study the adaptations of Thai students in five terms;social and cultural,psychological,communication,academic and life satisfaction scale.The collected data will be analyzed and used to study the adaptation of Thai students to understand them and this study will be benefit Thai students and also university and professors.The research found that the adaptation of Thai students in Wuhan is in middle to high level.The highest adaptation in social and cultural adaptation,followed by communication adaptation,academic adaptation,psychological adaptation,and life satisfaction scale.The analysis of Individual Factors and the Cross-cultural Adaptation have significant effects.In addition,there is a correlation between the Cross-cultural adaptation.The research found that Thai students mostly adopt the strategy of actively integrating into Chinese culture,which can adapt to Chinese accommodation conditions,communicate effectively with Wuhan people,and adopt an attitude of actively integrating into Chinese culture.Mental state,can actively learn from Chinese teachers and classmates.The research also found that the main problem is life satisfaction scale;performance of Chinese in public places,food in Wuhan,psychology and pressure from studying.The recommendations from Thai students and professors will be provided to solve the problems and be the guideline to up level the social and cultural adaptation to Thai students.
