The Sino-Japanese War,which made all sectors of Chinese society deeply feel the meaning of the "millennial change".Since then, the external troubles have become more and more fierce, and the sense of national death has been lingering over China.Faced with this crisis, the traditional intellectual knowledge system's ideological resources are difficult to cope with;after the Sino-Western Haitong, the European style and the rain brought a variety of Western knowledge into China, and the late Qing scholars used this to create a complex and diverse knowledge space.Difficult situation. In the past, the discussion on the source of the thought of national construction in the late Qing Dynasty mostly focused on the relationship between traditional resources and Western theories. In fact, beyond the two countries, such as Poland,North Korea,Turkey,India,Egypt and other countries outside the country,it is also in the late Qing Dynasty. The context serves as an important ideological resource of nationalism.Among the countries where Asia and Africa ruined,Egypt and China were both "civilized" ancient countries. In modern times, because of the "external debt",the country has many similarities with the late Qing Dynasty. From the Jiawu to the Wuchang Uprising, the history of the country's ruin in Egypt was widely circulated through newspapers, textbooks and other media through the expressions of drama, bamboo and lyrics, and became a symbol of the country of ruin.It often appeared in political discussions and the formation of enlightenment discourse. As far as the topic is concerned,"foreign debt","civilization" and "reform" are central topics. The reforms in Egypt have been defeated by the "foreign debts",and they have become an important factor in shaping the "external debt" as a symbol of "death".They promote the development of the economic nationalism picture in the late Qing Dynasty. The Egyptian reform story also prompts the Chinese to think about it.Under the background of the prevalence of sovereignty and national imperialism, reform does not seem to be the only way to save the country.Between the West and the West,it reflects the world's worries that the nation cannot compete in the world.During the awe of Western civilization, the Chinese accepted the theory of evolution of "civilization".At the same time, they sacrificed the banner of "civilization" and created the tradition of Egypt,China and India as "an ancient civilization",thereby launching China's "civilization".Recreate the imaginative journey of rebirth and phoenix nirvana. And how to recognize the modernity problem of Egypt under British rule, there are inherent contradictions that are difficult to avoid. If the British occupation ruled Egypt is a reasonable act worthy of praise in the evolutionary order, does it mean that the aggression is justified;Reasonable,it is necessary to break the occupation-progression model constructed in the Western discourse. This contradictory attitude towards Western "civilization" and aggression is precisely the reflection of the contradictions and dilemmas in the nationalism of the late Qing Dynasty.Discussing the nationalism of the late Qing Dynasty with the history of the country of Egypt as a carrier is not only conducive to breaking through the limitations of the cognitive perspective of the "history of the rise and fall".Through this carrier,it can also be said to present a picture of the diversity of nationalism in the late Qing Dynasty, which touches the process of nation-state construction, key problem.Understanding the late Qing Dynasty China is committed to constructing the arduous course of the modern nation-state and showing the different paths and orientations that lead to the ultimate goal of the modem nation-state.
