Egypt is one of the great powers in the Arab world and plays an important role in the Middle East. The Copts,a minority ethnic group in Egypt, believe in the “Monophysism” and are the largest Christian group in the Middle East, accounting for about 5% of Egypt's population.Compared to Muslims,Coptic Christians have a higher level of education, and their share of the Egyptian middle class is higher than the proportion of the population. The topic of Coptic-related topics in Egyptian society is sensitive, and negative public opinion about Copts before 21 st century was rarely mentioned in public discussions.there is Coptic question, but the Coptic question is a very dissonant factor at the initiative of Egyptian nationalism. The Copts in the Shennoda III period revolved around the Coptic Orthodox Church. The reformed church continues to strengthen its ability to serve the Copts. The church became an intermediary between the Copts and the government.Shennoda III in the early period(1971-1981)actively for the Copts to seek benefits, and eventually led to exile. After his reinstatement in 1985,the Pope changed his old style and strengthened cooperation with the government, but this cooperation hurt the rights and interests of ordinary Copts, resulting in a serious division of the Copts. The nationalism built in Egypt is centred on religious solidarity. In the process of nationalist construction,Egyptian historians and social scientists looked for factors common to the two major religions and excavated the traditional habits and customs that people still adhere to in the Nile basin.Almost all the main public opinion of society revolves around the unity of religious groups. The Coptic Orthodox Church is also a major player, advocating harmony between Coptic Christians and Muslims. But Egyptian nationalist advocacy cannot bridge the gap between Coptic Christians and Muslims.Copts have more feelings about the unfairness and violent conflict.there are closer to their lives.Nationalism, with religious solidarity at its core, emphasizes the importance of religion in Egyptian, and the growing relationship between the Egyptian and religious organizations has led to a growing conflict between the Coptic Christians and Muslims.
