In recent years,Traditional Chinese Medicine(hereinafter shortened as "TCM")has gained much more international attention.Nowadays,it is of high importance to disseminate health knowledge and technology to people all over the world in order to make them live a healthy and happy life.The Doctor Is In is a health-care television programme of China Central Television's science and education channel(CCTV 10).Domestic first-class medical physicians or experts will be invited as guests to give the audience direct answers about different health topics each time.It is authoritative in disseminating Chinese medicine knowledge.However,there is no English version therefore the author wishes to introduce it abroad to help disseminate the knowledge of Chinese medicine in the world.This report is fulfilled on the basis of the programme The Doctor Is In on February 23rd,2017.Based on the interpreting practice,the author mainly describes the complete process of interpreting in details and analyzes the application of interpreting strategies under the guidance of interpretive theory.Furthermore,difficulties encountered in the process are discussed which help the author to accumulate interpreting experience.In the practice,the aim is to master the core meaning of source language rather than only focus on the pattern of the language in order to transfer the equivalent information.The practice report is mainly composed of four chapters.The first chapter introduces the source and features of the task,as well as the significance of the task.The second chapter is the description of the procedure,including the preparation before interpreting,simulated interpreting progress and quality control during interpreting.The third chapter mainly discusses difficulties encountered and the application of interpreting skills through case analysis.The fourth chapter summarizes the limitations in the process and explores implications for future study and work.
