Jerusalem,the eternal and indivisible spiritual capital of Israel,carries the memories and emotions of the Jews.In his novels,Amos Oz often uses Jerusalem as the setting for his stores,Through his unique literary expression,Oz shows us the city and the life.Through the comparison between the novel text and the social and historical data,this paper analyzes the image of Jerusalem in the text of Oz,discussing the relationship between the city and people,and understands the significance of the writing of Jerusalem by Oz.The first part,analyzes Jerusalem which has two dimensions,analyzes the realistic and virtual space in the works,this is to examine the past and present of the city;the second part,mainly explains the character image and its relationship with the city,Oz shapes two image systems of confused Jews and friendly foreigners,and showed the unity and opposition between the city and people,thus conveying his thoughts on the future;the third part,through the description of the way and meaning of the Oz’ s Jerusalem writing,what we see is the writer s own reflection on some issues,such as traditional and modern,war and peace,culture and religion,and that’ s what Jerusalem or the Jews are facing,and nceds to be addressed,we see Oz as a supportive and conscientious writer. |
