As one of the important development and communication areas of Chinese Buddhism,in the long history of development,Buddhism has continuously blended with local culture and local beliefs in Shandong.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,it gradually formed a belief system with local characteristics.Buddhist temple art system.Buddhist temples are not only an important place for religious beliefs, but also an important carrier for integrating Buddhist culture and art.The buildings, sculptures, murals and calligraphy in the Buddhist temple are all indispensable parts of a complete temple. The author conducted a field survey of the existing Ming and Qing Dynasties temples in Shandong, and found that some of the relatively complete Buddhist works of the Ming and Qing Dynasties were still in existence. This article is to systematically integrate and comprehensively explore these existing Ming and Qing Dynasties Buddhist works in Shandong, and combine relevant literature to show the artistic features of the Buddhist temples in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Shandong. This article is divided into four parts to elaborate: First,a brief review of the history of Buddhism in Shandong. The distribution of Buddhist temples and the existing Buddhist art situation are summarized.Secondly, according to the existing relatively complete Ming and Qing Dynasties Buddhist temples, the layout, layout and architectural decoration art of the temple are elaborated. It is concluded that the general specifications of temple buildings are not high, and most of them exist in the layout of residential buildings. The layout of buildings tends to be flexible, and the architectural decoration is relatively simple.Influenced by local beliefs and multiculturalism, the Buddhist temple broke the boundaries of the original religious differences and presented a diversified system of deities.Thirdly,it analyzed and elaborated the existing Ming and Qing dynasties sculptures, murals and calligraphy inscriptions in the Buddhist temple. It is concluded that the Buddhist statues in Shandong Province are also deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhist statues in the inheritance tradition, especially the small gold and bronze Buddha statues, mainly based on Tibetan statues.Buddhist murals are more flexible in terms of content and form.Comic strips, strip screen paintings,Ming and Qing novels, and civic life have become common contents in mural paintings, showing a secular tendency and performance techniques are more realistic. At the same time, fresh and elegant freehand landscapes, flowers and birds become a common decorative theme in murals. At the same time,a large number of calligraphy inscriptions have been left in the Buddhist temple. The cliff list, travel poetry and memoirs have become the main form. The book body is mainly based on dignified and strict lines.Fourth, according to the works of art in the Buddhist temples of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Shandong, the overall aesthetic characteristics are summarized.Under the influence of multi-culture,the artistic form and the secular artistic tendency become its main aesthetic characteristics.
