| From 1997 to 2003,Qiong Yao’s three novel-Return to the Pearl Gear,came out one after another,and it became popular on both sides of the Taiwan Strait for a time,setting off an irresistible "Qiong Yao fever’’.This paper takes the language style of "Xiao Yanzi’’ in the first novel of Return to the Pearl Gear as the research object.It selectively summarizes and analyses 848 corpuses.At the same time,it uses the methods of analysis,synthesis,induction and statistics to expound the vulgar,bold and simple language style of "Xiao Yanzi’’ and its style means,and to reveal the reasons for the formation of language style.Firstly,this paper from four aspects to analyses the vulgar and bold language style of "Xiao Yanzi’’: the use of maximized degree words,the use of masculine words,the use of two different forms of vulgar words with rich connotations,and the use of figures of speech to highlight vulgar and bold.The use of maximized degree words is analyzed from two aspects: the form of degree adverb "most’’+adjective/adverb to express the degree of love,and the use of ordinal or adjective to express the degree of confidence.The use of two different forms of vulgar language with rich connotations is also discussed from two aspects: flexible and diverse abusive language,which reflects the fluctuating mood of the characters and blunt taboos,and shows the unique personality of the characters.The use of figures of speech highlights the vulgarity and boldness mainly in the following seven aspects: the multi-use to enhance the ranking of voice,the repetition of emphasis,the progression of step by step,the use of more vivid contrast and the quotation of poetry or authoritative discourse,the exaggeration of superfluous words and the veracity connected before and after use.Secondly,it elaborates the simple and plain language style of "Xiao Yanzi’’,which is analyzed from five aspects: The extensive use of voice words,plain spoken words,folk idioms,common short sentences to show the concise and natural,and use of rhetoric to highlight simplicity and plainness.In terms of the extensive use of voice words,it involves the use of mood words highlighting the real feelings,interjections expressing joy and surprise,and onomatopoeia with imitative features.It analyses the use of folk idioms from the extensive use of concise and vivid idioms,popular and simple proverbs and concise and vivid idioms.The use of figures of speech highlights simplicity and plainness,which is mainly embodied in the use of metonymies to enhance the relevance between the two things,the use of concise metaphors and analogies.Finally,it explores the factors that form the language style of "Xiao Yanzi’’.According to the subjective factors and external objective factors of the characters in the novel,the subjective factors of the characters in the novel are the cultural accomplishment,life experience and personality temperament of the "Xiao Yanzi’’.The external objective factors take into account the author’s own factors and the need to cater to the market.The author’s own factors are also from the three aspects to discuss,including his good language accomplishment,to show a new creative style,and the reflection of their own personality. |
